Q: Besides adequate space, what other requirements are needed in my office to install a PC-1000 or PC-1000/Laser 1000?
A: A 115v, 20 amp circuit (preferably dedicated) is required for the installation of either the PC-1000 or PC-1000/Laser 1000. Of course, each office must have appropriate film processing capabilities. Additionally, some states require a remote activation switch.

Q: Does the PC-1000 produce scatter radiation?
A: Yes, however, there is no measurable scatter radiation beyond three feet. The operator is equipped with a 12-foot exposure cord to allow a safe distance while keeping the patient in view. If the machine is installed near a wall, two pieces of standard drywall will absorb the radiation.

Q: How tall or short can my patients be and still use the machines comfortably?
A: The PC-1000 and PC-1000/Laser 1000 can accommodate someone standing as tall as 6' 4" or as short as 3' 4". Anyone taller or shorter can use a stool. Our machines are also wheelchair accessible.

Q: What is meant by "Digital Ready" when applied to your machines?
A: Our machine is the platform for obtaining digital images. You can adapt it to use either direct digital sensors or digital phosphor plate systems, which are the two digital formats available today.
